Vasile Trif

Vasile Trif seeks to build a bridge between the visible world and the invisible world. The ochres, earth colors and blues refer to the universe and atmosphere of the ceramic culture (pots and jugs) of Transylvania. At the thematic level, it starts from his poems and his imagination, imbued with mythical signs and motifs. “In my artistic work, I recover signs, symbolic elements from Byzantine painting and glass painting and I transpose and reinterpret them on paper, in an approach of abstract expressionism with figurative elements.”
